Sulphur Springs Landmark

If anyone asked me how to get to my high school, I would say, 'Just turn in by the giant cows.'

The Southwest Dairy Museum is located just behind Sulphur Springs High School! In front of the museam sit 2 giant cows which is a great landmark for telling people how to get the school! If you think I'm kidding, just take a drive past the school while you are in town to see the cows!

And in case you were wondering . . . it's actually a felony to toilet paper the cows, as a couple of guys in my high school class almost found out! I don't think they ever got caught, but it was interesting story about how they ran from the cops . . .

We Have a Musician!

We now have a musician! YAY!

Barbara is the organist/pianist at the church - and has been playing there for as long as I can remember. She's really good!

At the beginning of our conversation, Barbara asked, 'Have you thought about the music you want at the ceremony?' My answer was, 'Um . . . well . . . no, not really. Whatever you usually do for a wedding is fine with me!'

So in a matter of about 5 minutes we chose all the music :) I'm sure it will be beautiful! :)

YAY for checking one more think off of the list!

Yummy Places to Eat in Sulphur Springs - Part #1

Sulphur Springs has 7 mexican restaurants. The town is only 16,000 people, so I guess if you are from town, you like Mexican food!

El Charros is a great place on College Street. It's pretty small now, but used to be smaller.

My Daddy gets a #4 combo every single time. He's been getting it since the place opened in the '70's. The #4 is something like an enchilada, a taco, a tostado, and something else. MMMMMM makes me hungry now! I love their rice and cheese enchiladas!

Rehearsal Dinner Location Chosen!

We've chosen a place for the rehearsal dinner - El Potrillo Mexican restaurant! Mexican food is SO good in Texas. Mexican food in Georgia is imitation . . .

Yay for Texas Mexican food! I wonder if I can fit all of my favorite Sulphur Springs restaurants into the itinerary while we are there for the wedding . . .

Not Related to the Wedding

Ashby and I watched the Peachtree Road Race on July 4th! These pictures have nothing to do with the wedding - I just wanted to post them!

Here's Ashby reading his paper while the racers head toward the finish line!

Less Than 3 Months To Go!

Yay! The wedding is in less than 3 months! Hooray!

We have decided to go to South Carolina for our honeymoon trip. We'll fly back to Atlanta on October 4th, and the leave from the airport for Charleston, which is a 6 hour drive. After spending 3 days in Charleston, we are going to go to a Hilton Head Island. There are lots of golf and tennis resorts on the island - so we're going to play a lot of tennis while we are there! Should be good weather and not super crowded! Really looking forward to it!
